New Release Holiday Review ~ The Billionaire's Christmas Proposal by @VicJames101

She's everything he wants for Christmas…

Social worker Allison Barrington's home went up in smoke, literally, a month before Christmas. Now the guardian of her teenage sister and a crazy pup, she shows up on the doorstep of the only man in the city she can trust. Resisting Ethan Dane had never been easy, but luckily, Allie isn't into cutthroat playboy businessmen. And Ethan is as driven as they come.

Ethan Dane has wanted Allie since the moment he laid eyes on her at their best friends' wedding. Having her in his home is the perfect chance to prove to her that their chemistry can't be denied, but when he finds out that the biggest business coup of his career means destroying the youth center where Allie works, Ethan is forced to decide what kind of man he wants to be.

Christmastime is such a special time of year. Magic, love, and possibilities are all around us. Love is something Allison doesn't think she'll have time for this year. Christmas is not looking good when her apartment building burns down with all of her and her sister's belongings and the shelter for teens she works at is about to close. But when a man like Ethan Dane is in your stratosphere, it is hard not to feel the pull toward him.

Ethan agrees to take Allison and her sister, Dani, in until they get back on their feet. He's dreamed of being close to her for years, but his need to gain his father's approval threatens having any kind of relationship with Allison.

The chemistry Ms. James creates between Allison and Ethan made my heart flutter and fill me with a giddiness I haven't felt for a while. I love stories about people from different worlds coming together. Oh, and how they came together. The passion the duo share once they finally let themselves is sweet and steamy at the same time. When the two begin to trust and overcome their past obstacles, they are able to see beyond status and occupation. They find love and compassion where they didn't assume they would.

For a social worker and a tech giant, Christmas is the perfect time to find love where you least expect it. A perfect holiday happily ever after!

Thank you to Victoria James and Entangled Publishing for gifting me with a copy of The Billionaire's Christmas Proposal in exchange for an honest review.

Victoria James always knew she wanted to be a writer and in grade five, she penned her first story, bound it (with staples) and a cardboard cover and did all the illustrations herself. Luckily, this book will never see the light of day again. In high school she fell in love with historical romance and then contemporary romance. After graduating University with an English Literature degree, she married her own hero, pursued a degree in Interior Design and then opened her own business. After the birth of her first child, she knew it was time to fulfill the dream of writing romantic fiction. Victoria calls herself a hopeless romantic who is living my dream, penning happily-ever-after's for her characters in between managing kids and the family business. Writing on a laptop in the middle of the country in a rambling old Victorian house would be ideal, but she’s quite content living in suburbia with her husband, their two young children, and very bad cat.
