Social Media. Oh, how it makes me tear my hair out at times. There are so many tips and insider information out there. Some things work, some don't. It's hard to weed out the good from the bad at times. All I can tell you are the things that seem to work well for the majority of people who try them.

Twitter

To say what you need to say in only 140 characters can be daunting. Let's break it down with the anatomy of a tweet.

So now you know what makes up your tweet. Here's some info on how to get more clicks on Twitter from The Wall.

Facebook

There is something new going on with Facebook everyday. Sometimes it is very hard to keep up. I found this infographic on Branding Personality to spice up your fanpage.

Now, I am one who likes to tick off the boxes. This is when this checklist from Socially Stacked comes in handy.

Hope these help you all a little bit on the highway of Social Media madness.

This post closes my Indie Block Party posts. I had so much fun these past two weeks. I hope to participate in more "parties" in the future to bring you all some interesting and helpful content. Thanks for reading!

Author on Author Book Review & Giveaway ~ "Becoming Invisible" by Tiffany Carmouche

Passion. ..Obsession. ..Love…Loss.

When fire consumes the Carlisle’s home and an obsessed serial killer continues to hunt Nicole and her family, Dylan and Bradley realize the only way to keep them alive is to help them become… invisible.

Add "Becoming Invisible" to your Goodreads Shelf.

"Becoming Invisible" is the third installment in The Alaskan Heart Saga and the adventure is not over yet. In this novel, the action slows down a bit but Carmouche doesn't leave her readers wanting.

Carmouche spoiled us all with the length of the first two books in the series. "The Impostor" was 354 pages and "Obsession and Sacrifice" was 358. "Becoming Invisible" is only 150 pages but it isn't lacking one bit. This installment shows us the characters in transition.

"Becoming Invisible", like "Obsession and Sacrifice", is told in Nicole's first person point of view and several other character's third person point of view. We get much more of The Impostor's view and I have to tell you, some parts left me reeling. Though the things that were portrayed were heinous and depraved, Carmouche was able to create a very realistic picture of a demented human being. I am saying that as a complement. So many authors attempt to create characters like The Impostor with little to no success. Carmouche's detailed trips into the mind of The Impostor left me with goose bumps and a chill down my spine.

Carmouche isn't done weaving this tale yet as there is a fourth installment coming in the future. I am not sure if that will be the last, but I am anxious to see The Impostor meet his end in a way even more terrible than the end he delivered to his victims thus far.

Thank you to Tiffany Carmouche for providing me with an ARC copy of "Becoming Invisible" in exchange for an honest review.

Best Selling Author Tiffany Carmouche has been given the title, The Queen of The Cliffhanger and Best Unknown Author You Need to Discover. When Tiffany Carmouch√© is not writing suspenseful romance novels, you can find her sculpting, traveling, teaching, singing, dancing, escaping in music or enjoying her family.

From skydiving in Alaska to scuba diving in Hawaii, Carmouché has traveled the world seeking adventure and it is apparent in the books she writes. Her adventures include riding camels in Africa, swimming under the stars in Puerto Rico, dancing salsa in Ecuador, and walking the cobblestone roads of Assisi, Italy. Her most cherished moments, however, have been watching her two beautiful daughters grow and strive to accomplish their own dreams.

Despite all of these amazing experiences, she has survived many struggles. There was a time she felt defeated, but now she is recommitted to savoring experiences both in the novels she writes and in the life she lives each day. Her secret hope is that anyone who is struggling will realize there is a light at the end of the tunnel and no matter how hard the fight, no matter how many times they have been knocked down, it is always worth staggering up to their feet and learning to breathe again.

I am so happy to be a part of Entangled Publishing's Book Blitz of
"Some Like It Spicy"!
I am a huge fan of Entangled and know they have another best seller on their hands with Robbie Terman's newest release.

Ashton Grey’s restaurant, Sweet Home, is in trouble. Months of empty tables have left her and her partners near bankruptcy, and her father’s prediction of her failure as a chef seems imminent. But a chance encounter could provide Ashton with the publicity she needs to save her restaurant—if the fiery chef is willing to compete on a reality cooking show. But in order to win, she needs to stay focused. No problem…until she meets the head judge.

Celebrity chef Ty Cates is ready to get away from the camera and back to the kitchen where he belongs. Performing as head judge on a reality show is just one more commitment he’d like to get out of, especially after he meets Ashton. Head judges dating contestants is about as taboo as putting ketchup on filet mignon, but from the moment they meet, there’s a simmering heat between them that neither can ignore.

As the competition heats up, they rely on sneaking around, stealing amazing night after amazing night together when the cameras aren’t rolling. When both realize what’s starting to feel like love could easily be a recipe for disaster, Ashton and Ty need to make a choice—get out of the kitchen or turn up the heat.

Her heroines are feisty, her heroes Hot (yup, that's with a capital H!). And, when you read her books, if you tear up a little and laugh a lot, that's just the reaction she was hoping for.

Robbie lives in Michigan and spend s her time wishing she lived somewhere warmer. When she's not writing, Robbie can often be found at Nordstrom, shopping for shoes and handbags. I had a really hard time narrowing this down to just five, but after hours of stressing about it I made my decisions. Funny thing is, not one of them is primarily romance which is my favorite genre.

Cover Reveal ~ "Synchronized Breathing" by Tara Ellison

COMMENT

Nothing announces the failure of one’s life quite as loudly as having to move back in with your mother at the ripe old age of thirty-five. Synchronized Breathing, introduces Scarlett Spencer in just this situation: her marriage has recently imploded and she’s headed for Beverly Hills—toddler in tow—to move in with her highly over-sexed mother, CeCe.
Having squandered her twenties having adventures and losing herself in men, Scarlett—out of desperation—leapt into an unsuitable marriage, but the best gift came out of that union—her son, Oliver. After successfully escaping that ‘Lemon Marriage,’ Scarlett struggles to put back together a life that was not very together to begin with. After being a stay-at-home-mother, Scarlett wades back into the Hollywood employment pool with hilarious results.
Balancing motherhood with the unique demands of Hollywood men provides a new twist on the dating dilemma—and living with one’s mother is not without its own set of challenges. With her robust sexual appetites and colorful parade of men, sixty-year-old CeCe has plenty of startling sex tips to share. After tiring of dating jerks, Scarlett goes on a self-imposed ‘man-diet’—which isn’t easy when your mother is perpetually on a manhunt—and in the quiet of a new man-less existence, she discovers what is really important in her life. Scarlett only finds her direction in life—and love—when she stops seeking to fulfill herself through other people (men).
Tara thinks of her novel as “A Single Mother’s Guide to Hunting and Fishing in Beverly Hills.” Synchronized Breathing was born after her own lousy divorce, during a very dark time when she thought the greatest luxury was to laugh. Her hope is that other women going through challenging times will be able to share a laugh with Scarlett Spencer and relate to her missteps on the path to love.

Tara Ellison was born in London and raised between Sydney and Hong Kong. Her childhood was spent immersed in American culture and she eventually realized her dream of moving to the US to pursue a career as an actress. The acting career was not a good fit and she spent many years trying to figure out what to do next. After a difficult divorce, she turned to her love of writing and Synchronized Breathing was born.

“Every marriage is work, but the trick is to pick someone you actually want to be married to.” Susan smiled at me.

Susan was my opposite in almost every way. Logical and levelheaded, her pragmatic view of life was so foreign to me that I often thought she was speaking another language.

“I’ll try to remember that for next time,” I said. “If there ever is a next time.”

“You gave it your best shot,” she said. “Personally, I thought you should have bailed right after you found all those nude photos. You’ve been very tolerant, as far as I’m concerned.”

“What photos are you talking about?” Autumn asked. “Why I don’t know about this?”

“You’ve been away on location. Tell her.” Emma nudged me.

“One day, while I was using the computer, I stumbled upon his extensive nude photo collection.”

“Of other women?” Autumn shrieked.

“No . . . that would actually make a certain amount of sense. They were all nude pictures of him, but mostly just of his dick.”

I got up and put another log in the fire, as Autumn scrambled to reclaim her jaw from the floor.

Stunned silence followed, so I pressed on. “His penis obsession was hardly a new thing. After all, it was his most prized possession, but seeing the photos en masse was a bit much. There were hundreds of pictures of his penis—chilling out in the garden, lathering himself in the bath, erect penis checking the mailbox. It was nuts. It was like that traveling Gnome series of photos—but each one featuring his dick in a new pose. Even his winking asshole made some artistic cameos!”

“Jeez . . . how on earth did he manage that?” asked Autumn, instantly intrigued.

“See . . . all that yoga pays off.” Susan’s quip sent Emma into hysterics. “Hey, I’m not saying the guy isn’t creative! It’s amazing how creative you can be when you have nothing to do all day but play with yourself.” I squeezed myself back on the couch in between Emma and Autumn.

“Wow . . . I had no idea. I guess he’s not the total bore I thought he was after all,” Autumn said with awe.

“I just had less and less respect for him and that’s a very difficult thing to overcome in a marriage, especially with all of our other issues.”

“So, what did you say to him?” Autumn was now almost bouncing out of her seat with excitement.

“I asked him what he was doing with all the photos. He laughed and said he was ‘just having some fun’. He even turned one of the photos into his screensaver so that twelve gleaming images of his penis greeted me every time I used the
computer. It felt like I was living with a teenage boy who’d just discovered the pleasures of wanking and not a nearly-forty-year-old man. CeCe caught an eyeful too. She was there when I found them.”

“What did she say?” asked Emma.

“She said she was underwhelmed.”

“And let’s face it, CeCe would know!” Susan said, sending Emma into another fit of giggles.

“Wow. I had no idea.” Autumn continued to grapple with the news. “He just looks so . . . vanilla to me.”

“That’s what all the gay guys do,” said Emma. “They send each other pictures of their dicks! Do you think he flipped to the other team?”

“Who knows what he was up to? All I could think was ‘What am I doing here?’ I’m exhausted from nursing and caring for the baby all day and night while my unemployed husband blasts music and dances around naked in the garden taking pictures of his cock, like some demented elf.”
