I bet by now you are wondering what The Lizzie Bennet Diaries are. After reading Truth by Sherri Hayes, My Mr. Manny by Jennifer Garcia, and another book for an upcoming review, I went to catch up on the latest episodes of VlogBrothers. Author of The Fault in Our Stars, John Green, and his just as talented brother, Hank, post videos to each other every week about a variety of things. In a video I watched this week, Hank mentions Pemberley Digital. Of course the Jane Austen fan in me recognizes Pemberley as the name of Mr. Darcy's home in the novel Pride & Prejudice. Turns out John and Hank had a hand in developing a web series called The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. The series is a vlog diary used as modern day Lizzie's thesis project for her masters degree. The series gives an interesting modern twist to the classic tale with spin off web series for other characters such as Lydia Bennet and GiGi Darcy. The web series wrapped up last March at 100 episodes and I watched all of the 4 to 7 minute segments over a three day period. This is the perfect way to get your Austen fix and you can continue with the new series based on Jane's novel Emma. Find out about everything there is to know about The Lizzie Bennet Diaries on the website. Watch the first episode on YouTube and share my newest addiction. Thanks John and Hank!
